Definitions
In these Terms, "Teenage Works," "TeenageWorks," "Company," "we," "us," and "our" mean Teenage Works Private Limited. "User," "you," and "your" mean the individual who accesses or uses the Services and, where that individual acts for an organization, that organization.
"Services" means our websites, applications, playgrounds, APIs, SDKs, models, documentation, account tools, support, and related products. "User Content" means text, audio, recordings, transcriptions, files, data, and other material you submit. "Output" means audio or other material generated in response to User Content. "Saved Voice" means a voice, recording, transcription, setting, or related asset that you intentionally save for later use.
These definitions apply throughout these Terms whether the relevant word is singular, plural, capitalized, or not capitalized.
Agreement and authority
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Teenage Works Private Limited. By creating an account, obtaining an API key, purchasing credits, or accessing or using the Services, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Services for a company, government body, school, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case, the organization is the User and is responsible for every person who accesses the Services through its account, credentials, or systems.
If you do not accept these Terms or lack authority to accept them, do not access or use the Services.
Eligibility and minors
A person under 13 may not create an account or use the Services. A person aged 13 through 17 may use the Services only with the informed consent and active supervision of a parent or legal guardian. That parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy and is responsible for the minor's account, purchases, User Content, Outputs, and conduct.
A person aged 18 or older may use an account independently. If applicable law requires a higher age to form this agreement or consent to data processing, that higher age applies.
An organization that permits a minor to use the Services must obtain all legally required parental or guardian permissions, provide appropriate notices, supervise the minor, and ensure that the Services are suitable for the intended setting.
Accounts and credentials
You must provide accurate, current, and complete account and billing information. You are responsible for all activity performed through your account, API keys, access tokens, integrations, and devices, including activity by employees, contractors, and automated agents you authorize.
Keep credentials confidential, apply reasonable security controls, and notify us promptly if you suspect loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, transfer, or expose an account or credential in a way that enables unauthorized access, conceals identity, or bypasses usage limits.
We may require identity, authority, or payment verification before granting or continuing access. We may rotate, revoke, or limit credentials when reasonably necessary to protect the Services, Users, or third parties.
Access to the Services
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access and use the Services for lawful purposes during the term of this agreement. Documentation and technical limits form part of the permitted use of each Service.
You are responsible for your systems, network, integrations, backups, testing, notices, consents, and human review. You must not rely on the Services as the sole basis for decisions that create legal or similarly significant effects for a person without appropriate review and safeguards.
Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to violate law; infringe privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights; deceive a person about the source or identity of synthetic media; impersonate a person without authorization; facilitate fraud, harassment, exploitation, or unlawful discrimination; create or distribute illegal content; or cause material harm.
You may not obtain, submit, model, or use a person's voice without every right, consent, and disclosure required for that use. You may not bypass safeguards or limits, probe or disrupt the Services, introduce malicious code, scrape protected areas, reverse engineer models except where law cannot prohibit it, or use access obtained through another User without authorization.
You are responsible for evaluating the context in which an Output will be used and for clearly disclosing synthetic or modified speech where law, platform rules, or reasonable audience expectations require it.
User Content and permissions
As between you and Teenage Works, you retain the rights you hold in User Content. You represent that you own or control all rights needed to submit the User Content and to authorize the processing described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
You grant us a worldwide, limited license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and transform User Content only as necessary to provide the requested Service, maintain security, prevent abuse, comply with law, and exercise our rights under this agreement. This license ends when the relevant processing and permitted retention end, except where continued retention is required by law or needed to resolve security, billing, or legal matters.
Do not submit confidential, regulated, biometric, health, financial, or other sensitive information unless you have determined that the Services, your configuration, and any separate written agreement are appropriate for that information.
Private generation and Outputs
Ordinary generation content is processed to return the requested Output and is not retained by Teenage Works as generation history. We do not keep a content log of ordinary generation text, inline reference material, or generated audio. Short-lived runtime processing may hold that content while a request is prepared and delivered.
Limited non-content operational and metering records are separate from generation content. They may include account, project, and request identifiers, model, character count, audio duration, processing time, status, and cost. Saved Voices and other information you intentionally save persist so that we can provide the relevant feature.
Subject to applicable law and these Terms, you may use an Output for your lawful purposes. Outputs may be inaccurate, unexpected, similar to material generated for another User, or unsuitable for a particular context. You are responsible for listening to, testing, reviewing, labeling, and lawfully using every Output before publication or deployment.
Saved Voices and voice rights
You may create or use a Saved Voice only when you have a valid legal basis and every permission required from the speaker and any other rights holder. You must honor any scope, duration, territory, attribution, compensation, deletion, and revocation obligations that apply to that voice.
You may not use a Saved Voice to impersonate, defraud, harass, or mislead, or after your authority to use it ends. We may request evidence of consent or authority, restrict a voice, or remove it when reasonably necessary to investigate a complaint, prevent harm, or comply with law.
Deleting a Saved Voice removes it from active use subject to reasonable processing time, backups, security records, and any retention required by law. Deletion does not undo Outputs you previously exported or distributed.
Fees, credits, taxes, and refunds
Prices, usage units, credit conversion, plan limits, and billing intervals are those presented when you purchase or use a paid Service. Unless stated otherwise, charges are based on our usage records. You authorize us and our payment providers to charge the selected payment method for amounts due, including applicable taxes.
Credits are a limited right to consume eligible Services. They are not money, may not be transferred or resold, and may expire under the terms shown when issued. Promotional or grant credits may have separate eligibility, duration, attribution, and usage conditions.
Except where law requires otherwise or we expressly state otherwise, completed usage charges and expired credits are nonrefundable. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us promptly with enough information to investigate it. You remain responsible for undisputed amounts.
Third-party services
The Services may interoperate with third-party products, libraries, websites, identity providers, payment providers, or compatibility layers. Third-party terms and privacy practices govern those products. We do not control and are not responsible for a third party's service, availability, security, or handling of information.
You authorize us to exchange the information reasonably necessary to perform an integration you enable. You are responsible for configuring and securing that integration and for confirming that it remains appropriate for your use.
Intellectual property and feedback
Teenage Works and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, models, software, interfaces, documentation, research, designs, names, logos, and branding. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no right or ownership interest in our technology is transferred to you.
If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or obligation. Do not include another person's confidential information in feedback.
Confidentiality
If either party receives nonpublic information identified as confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential, the receiving party will use reasonable care to protect it and will use it only for the relationship. This duty does not cover information that is public without breach, already lawfully known, independently developed, or lawfully received without restriction.
A receiving party may disclose confidential information when legally required after giving notice where legally permitted. Separate written enterprise or government terms control if they impose different confidentiality obligations.
Service changes and availability
The Services are based on ongoing research and may change. We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue a model, endpoint, feature, price, or compatibility layer. We will provide notice of material changes when reasonably practicable or legally required.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation, or that a particular model or Output will remain available. Preview, alpha, beta, experimental, and free features may be changed or withdrawn at any time and may be less reliable than generally available Services.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may investigate, restrict, suspend, or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, create legal or security risk, threaten people or systems, use the Services fraudulently, or if law or a competent authority requires it.
Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a breach. We may act immediately when delay could cause harm, compromise security, expose us or another person to liability, or defeat a legal obligation.
On termination, your right to use the Services ends. Provisions concerning payment, ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and any term that by its nature should survive will continue to apply.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services and Outputs are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Teenage Works disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The Services do not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. No statement in these Terms excludes a warranty, right, or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teenage Works and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, or data, arising from or related to the Services, even if advised that such loss may occur.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Teenage Works for all claims arising from or related to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Teenage Works for the affected Services during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or INR 10,000. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Teenage Works and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your User Content, your Outputs, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of another person's rights, or your unlawful or unauthorized use of a voice.
We will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and reasonable cooperation at your expense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by or imposes obligations on Teenage Works without our written consent.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, each party will make a good-faith effort for 30 days to resolve the dispute after written notice describing the issue and requested resolution.
If the dispute is not resolved, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, except that either party may seek urgent injunctive or protective relief where permitted. Mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, risk, technology, or the Services. The date shown above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required.
Updated Terms apply from the stated effective date. If you continue to use the Services after that date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Services before they take effect.
General terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, any service-specific terms, and any signed agreement form the entire agreement concerning the Services. A signed agreement controls to the extent it expressly conflicts with these Terms. Section titles are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
You may not assign this agreement without our written consent. We may assign it in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or transfer of the relevant business. Neither party creates a partnership, agency, fiduciary, employment, or joint-venture relationship by entering this agreement.
Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, except for payment obligations.
