Definitions and scope
In this Privacy Policy, "Teenage Works," "TeenageWorks," "Company," "we," "us," and "our" mean Teenage Works Private Limited. "User," "you," and "your" mean an individual who accesses or uses the Services and, where applicable, an organization that provides that access.
"Services" means our websites, applications, playgrounds, APIs, SDKs, models, documentation, account tools, support, and related products. "Generation Content" means text, recordings, reference audio, transcriptions, and generated audio handled during an ordinary generation request. "Saved Voice" means voice material and related information that you intentionally save for later use.
This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the Services. It does not govern an independent third-party service, even when that service links to or integrates with Teenage Works.
Our role
Teenage Works Private Limited is responsible for the personal information it controls. When an organization uses our Services to process information on its own behalf, that organization may be the data controller or data fiduciary and Teenage Works may act as its processor or data processor, subject to the applicable agreement.
The organization that provides your account or directs your use may control your account, access related records, and determine the purposes of processing. Contact that organization first for requests concerning information it controls.
Private generation lifecycle
Ordinary Generation Content is processed from request to response only to prepare and deliver the requested output. We do not keep ordinary generation text, inline reference audio, reference transcriptions, or generated audio in a generation-history log.
Short-lived runtime memory may hold Generation Content while the request is being authenticated, processed, streamed, or delivered. Removing content from generation history does not prevent the User from downloading, saving, publishing, or otherwise retaining an Output outside Teenage Works.
This is a data-retention and access commitment. It does not mean that content is processed through zero-knowledge encryption or that no computer system handles it during generation.
Information we collect
Account and contact information can include your name, email address, authentication identifiers, organization, role, account preferences, and information you provide when registering or contacting us.
Billing and transaction information can include plan, purchases, credit balance, invoices, tax information, transaction status, and limited payment details received from a payment provider. Payment card information may be collected and processed directly by that provider rather than stored by Teenage Works.
Technical and security information can include IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, authentication events, diagnostic data, rate-limit events, error data, and records used to detect abuse or protect accounts and infrastructure.
Communications include support requests, feedback, survey responses, and other information you choose to send us. Saved-feature information includes Saved Voices, their recordings, transcriptions, descriptions, settings, ownership information, consent records you provide, and related identifiers.
Operational data is separate
We retain limited non-content operational and metering records to authenticate accounts, apply credits, measure and bill usage, enforce limits, investigate failures, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. These records may include account, project, and request identifiers, model, input character count, generated-audio duration, processing time, status, and cost.
Operational metering does not store the text, inline reference material, or generated audio from an ordinary generation request. We may create aggregated or deidentified statistics that do not reasonably identify a User or reveal Generation Content.
Saved Voices and saved information
A feature designed for later reuse must retain the information needed to provide it. If you create a Saved Voice, we store its reference recording, transcription, settings, identifiers, and associated account information until you delete it or the account is closed, subject to the retention exceptions below.
Only submit another person's voice if you have a valid legal basis, every required permission, and the authority to instruct us to process it. If consent or authority ends, stop using the voice and delete it. You may contact us if account controls do not provide the required deletion option.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide and operate the Services; authenticate Users; create and secure accounts; process and deliver requests; maintain Saved Voices; meter usage; apply credits; process payments; provide support; communicate service, security, and policy updates; diagnose failures; prevent fraud and misuse; enforce agreements; and comply with law.
We may use aggregated or deidentified information for analytics, capacity planning, reliability, research, and product improvement. We do not turn ordinary Generation Content into a browsable account history.
Legal bases
Where a legal basis is required, we process information as necessary to perform a contract with you, take requested steps before entering a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, or act with consent.
Our legitimate interests include securing and improving the Services, preventing fraud and abuse, supporting Users, measuring performance, and managing our business. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Cookies and local storage
We and our authentication or infrastructure providers may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, maintain a session, remember preferences, protect accounts, balance traffic, and keep the Services working.
Your browser may let you block or delete these technologies, but essential account and security functions may then stop working. If we introduce nonessential analytics or advertising technologies that require a choice, we will provide the controls required by applicable law.
Service providers and disclosures
We may share limited information with service providers that support hosting, authentication, storage, payments, communications, monitoring, security, and professional services. They may process information only for the contracted purpose and under applicable confidentiality, security, and data-protection obligations.
We may disclose information when you direct or consent; to comply with law, legal process, or a competent authority; to protect a person, our rights, or the Services; to investigate fraud or abuse; or in connection with financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business. A recipient in a corporate transaction must handle personal information consistently with applicable law.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use ordinary Generation Content for cross-context behavioral advertising.
International processing
Teenage Works and its service providers may process information in India and other countries where infrastructure or personnel operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from the laws where you live.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use an approved transfer mechanism or another lawful basis and apply appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational protections.
Retention and deletion
Ordinary Generation Content is not retained as generation history. Runtime copies are removed after processing in accordance with operational procedures, except where temporary preservation is strictly necessary to address an active security incident or legal obligation.
We retain account, billing, usage, security, support, and Saved Voice records only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose described in this Policy, to provide a requested feature, comply with tax, accounting, and legal duties, establish or defend claims, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce agreements.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or deidentify it where reasonably possible. Deletion from active systems may take a reasonable period, and limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until overwritten under normal retention cycles.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Measures are selected with regard to the nature of the information, processing, and reasonably foreseeable risk.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your devices, accounts, integrations, and API keys, use appropriate access controls, and notify us promptly if you suspect compromise. We will provide breach notices when and as required by applicable law.
Minors
The Services are not directed to children under 13. A person under 13 may not create an account or use the Services. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 through unauthorized use, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete it.
A person aged 13 through 17 may use the Services only with the informed consent and active supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must review this Policy and the Terms, authorize the account, and remain responsible for the minor's activity and privacy choices.
A person aged 18 or older may manage an account and privacy choices independently. If local law requires a higher age for independent consent, that higher age applies. An organization providing access to minors is responsible for notices, permissions, supervision, and any additional safeguards required by law.
A parent or guardian who believes a minor used the Services without required authorization may contact us to request review, access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify identity, guardianship, and the account involved before acting.
Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to know or access personal information, correct inaccurate or incomplete information, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, nominate another person to exercise rights, or complain to a regulator or data-protection authority.
You may use available account controls or contact us to make a request. Describe the account and right involved. We may verify your identity and authority, and we may deny or limit a request where law permits or requires. We will explain the reason and available appeal or grievance process where required.
You may unsubscribe from optional promotional messages using the link in the message or by contacting us. We may still send transactional, account, legal, and security communications needed to provide the Services.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, risk, technology, or the Services. The date shown above identifies the current version. We will post the revised Policy here and provide additional notice of material changes where required.
If a change requires consent, we will request it before applying the new processing to you. Your continued use of the Services does not override a consent requirement imposed by law.
